or paws. So i noticed this the other day. The two middle pads of all of his feet but one, are connected by a bridge twoards the bottom. Is this from bad breeding or just a wild card?

if it is a mutation it is most likely just a wild card. But if his breeding is bad then you would find the trait in his ancestors too i suppose ... so it could be either... if its a mutation.

a mutation is when there is a change in the DNA and it can happen all by itself. A mutation can be passed to children just like other traits (ie brown eyes)

Hmmm...I've never seen anything like that. It's obviously a mutation of some sort.Ask the breeder to tell you who bought the other puppies,so you can see if they have it,too.I don't think it will cause him any problems, though.I'm sure your vet will know something about it.

I think it is a wild card, but it's pretty strange isn't it? I wonder if it will affect him in anyway?
