You would think so. They have an uncanny reflexive ability to deflect logic easily with made-up rationalizations. This must be self-serving in some way for them to not really question it.

What requires a lot of effort, Desiree, is to try to deny what you really do believe. I'm not sure about giving credit to Christians, but you are surely not giving enough credit to Christ. Have you ever really read the Bible for yourself?
I have found a lot of people just go on what everyone else says about it. If you do, you may find that we don't feel that way at all. As far as I can see it's the world's governmental systems that are up to their necks in water and saying "The boat is not sinking".

Their ship is sinking but they don't see the water. I'm sure that being a Christian in this day and age when logic is kicking all their little stories right in the fanny. They cling to them because they are afraid of letting go of the boat, because maybe they will die and not exist. The thought is too scary, so they pretend they will exist in heaven.

This is a developmental stage known as childhood. Eventually homo sapiens will mature as a species, but not as long as we have Fundies.

depends on the beliefs, how carefully they're examined, how much conflict bothers the believer. the sinking of the boat is just an illusion created by satan to test their faith, you know.
