Okay...
So I kinda like someone I met through camp.
Well we don't live anywhere near close.

We both kinda have this thing for eachother.....

Is it even worth it to have a long distance relationship?
Like I can trust him 100% and everything.

I just always hear about terrible things..
Like people are obviously going to change; but if they don't change together, and only communicate with the internet or via phone....??

What do you think?

In my opinion and experience NO, I waited while this girl was in the 'Army' for 2 months. When she showed back up she was pregnant. I wonder which army she went to? Eventually you will want to have someone that you can embrace whenever you want to. Long distance relationships are stressful and expensive to make work....Good Luck!

Okay...listen to me!!! I am in a long distance relationship right now and it is working out great! Me and my guy communicate via phone, text, and internet and we know each other so well that it beats how much normal relationship goers know about each other. Since we can just talk while he's away we know each other very closely on the mental level which makes things on the physical level better and easier when we are together. So, yes they can definitely work, but both people have to be really into it and they both have to want to try.

I met my husband when i visited U.S. and we maintained a LDR relationship online. We are happily married despite of the adjustments I have to make during the first two years. We are still learning about each other and we believe our love will be able to overcome any obstacle we might encounter.

Many of the people I knew were not so lucky. They visited their boyfriends here and after their first meetings, the relationship just stopped. I guess, you will hv to base alot on yr instinct or gut feelings, if you hv any doubt about the person you are hvg relationship with. There hv been many cases of misrepresentations and lies about themselves. Never jump into a marriage if you are not sure.

In real life, people could lie too. Maybe online, it takes a longer time before you can feel safe about the person

yes, a long distance relationship will work if both the guy and the girl has love, respect and TRUST for each other.. as long as you have confidence in the other person, and you trust the person enough to know that the person won't do anything to hurt you and that the person will remain faithful to you despite the distance..

i am in a long distance relationship with my bf, and our relationship is getting stronger each day, because though we are far from each other, we make sure that we make each other feel loved and cared for inspite of the distance..

I have had 2 really serious long distance relationships, (one was over 4.5 hours away and the other was 6 hours away) Neither of them worked out. We had problems with trust issues (I was always faithful, but my exs werent). It always seemed to be great at first but over time things became harder to deal with. When we would see eachother it seemed as though we were always fighting about something. Some people can work the long distance relationship but as for me I can say that it doesnt work (for me at least).
Best of luck to you!!!!

I've never seen a Long-distance relationship work out.
Its too much of a hassle.
You'd ge depressed whenever you see a couple together and u realize you cant be with your other half.
Then when school starts, what happens if you want to date other guys and he wants to date other girls?
Its really very complicated.
I'm not against you idea, its just really hard to go through.

yeah its true, it happens, and you live through it.
you have to figure in that he live someplace els, you can really have a chance to connect with him to keep that chemistry going.
and then again you could be the relationship on the side, he does have other friends and who knows how complicated or strained it might be.

it takes work to keep it going if you really thing theres a connection, that means actually traveling and vissiting at times, keep up conversation when needed, and remebering that you have someone thats not around for the more important parts of your life currently.

this is what the monkey says, you know it to be true.

I have never been a big fan of long distance relationships. However my brother has been with his girlfriend for years. She is currently over here for a year staying with him.
And eventually he'll move over to the USA to be with her as both of their interest, friends etc are over there.
They've even briefly spoken about marriage.

So even though it has worked for some, others it may not.
