When I visit my sister in Seattle, I always get my tickets 21 days in advance, and they run around $130.00.
Just go to the link I have provided, click on your departure city, arrival city, and if roundtrip, return city, then choose the depart date and return date. That's all there is to it. You'll see the choices on the next page, after you click continue.

I do this all the time. Alaska Airlines and Southwest are the only carriers that I am aware of that do non-stop flights. This is really nice. You can try their websites and also the discount travel sites. Southwest always overbooks their flights, and if you are willing to take a later flight, they will make it worth the wait. As for the price, it can vary. The lowest I've seen is about $120, however it can shoot up to $500. Book early and shop around - Southwest's nonrefundable fares are usually great deals.

Go with Alaska Airlines.
They fly out of SMF, and Seattle is their hub airport. So lots of direct flights to Seattle.

Go to Southwest.com for the absolutely lowest prices. If you book far enough ahead of time, you can get tickets for as low as $260, roundtrip!
http://www.southwest.com/cgi-bin/showOrPrice
By the way, they don't book their flights through any of the other travel websites.
