In a many dark hour
I've been thinkin' about this
That Jesus Christ
Was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you
You'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot
Had God on his side.

he meant that there are people who still committed heinous acts when they were able to see the face of God, Judas being the prime example. (i love that song, by the way)

If you believe that God plans everything, so God plans for
the live of Jesus as well as Judas. That is the way to tell a
story. Without a Judas there would be no Jesus in religion, and
vice versa. In this way Judas is part of God's plan. If you
condemned Judas, then you condemn part of God's plan.

He believed that God was not Jesus,
or n another word, in his opinion Jesus is not God.

That was why actually, muslims respecting (at least I am) Jesus "highly" (is that a correct word), because we dont believe that Jesus was crossed. No way God will let Jesus belittled by the Roman.

In Qur'an all the prophets end up winning against the non believers.Whoever they are, including Jesus.

Bob had God on his side for a while.
He apparently didn't like the idea of doing a follow-up act.
Remember his song: "You've Got to Serve Some One" ?

"It may be the devil
or it may be the Lord,
but you're gonna have to serve someone."

It depends if he was stoned when he was writing the song or not.

If he wasn't smoking weed at that time, he was probably thinking that God will be with us not matter what we do, or how bad we become.

But, if he was stoned when he was writing the song, he just meant that God is on your side - not on top, not at the bottom, not behind or upfront . . . Just on our side.
