my calves and thighs look very muscular. I was wondering if pilates will actually help make them look leaner. Also, would it help on my arms too??

Some people love Pilate's, some people don't get much from it. I was at a hotel with a convention of Pilate's teachers, and those people looked AWESOME. I've never seen so many perfect butts in my life. Try it about 30 times over two-three months and see how it works for you.

Pilates "work" in the sense that it was designed to strengthen your core muscles or your powerhouse, so it improves your posture by making all the smaller muscles work better. It won't create bulk and it will slim your down. If you're trying to lose weight, it all depends on what you eat along with doing Pilates. The best way to see if Pilates can work for you is to try them. Here are a few illustrations and instructions for doing Pilates at home:

Joe Pilates' goal was to lengthen and strengthen muscles and ligaments, so that should translate into a leaner appearance. (Also, my wife says I look leaner since I took up Pilates). :)
Pilates is a whole-body workout, when done properly, so it would help all your limbs, as well as your core (abs, glutes, and lower back). Start perhaps with a weekly 50-minute mat workout and increase it to several times a week if it feels okay.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.fit-thin.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 4.97$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

I did one Pilate's class. I was sore for 3 days. It definitely works your muscles and is a great workout.
