I'm an aussie, and I can't believe the government is so backward when it comes to enviromental policy

Why would you be embarrassed that your government recognizes that Kyoto isn't worth the paper it is printed on? You should be proud of that. Should something be done? Absolutely! but Kyoto is not the answer.

Definately not :) I totally agree with duker918. and others! I think most Aussies are concerned and some solution should be found Kyoto is not the answer, I love living in a democratic country!

Hi,"If" you an Aussie,you voted in the present Government and they are "Governing,they have made there decision and we all will abide by there decision.
"IF" you are an Aussie you will have the Democratic right to change Governments, till then go along with the present governments decision.

It doesn't embarrass me because I'm not Australian.

But it is irksome that a country like Australia (not to mention the United States!) thinks itself above everyone else in having to tackle environmental issues.
