Guys could tell whenever I like them. They always catch me staring at them. I'm not good looking, and when I make jokes, nobody laughs. Does me liking them irritate them?

You should think more of yourself. Are there some nice things you can do to appear more attractive? Are you smart? Are you interesting? Do you have hobbies? Do you care about yourself?
For the external - How about a new haircut or hair style? Would you consider getting a makeover at the mall or so, just to try a different look? If you can make or buy some new clothes, that may help.
Whatever you do, be yourself. There is someone for everybody - your time will come. Try to make friends, first.

I have no idea.I have friends of all types, shapes, sizes, lifestyles, etc... I don't care. I had a girl in HS obsessed with my eyes (grey/blue/green/brown at random) She would check every day.
She was far from attractive. But she was friendly, and therefore a friend. It was fun, we'd joke around alot and always had fun.
You shouldn't worry so much. Any guy that gets irritated is a superficial idiot.

if they laugh then they are shallow guys that want a blonde with fake ****. the guys love this attention regardless of how "pretty" the girl looks. at a club, guys go for the girl with the most confidence, regardless of her looks. you need to about what makes you pretty/confident. there are no truely ugly girls out there. a few nice outfits, a little mascara, and a bright smile is all you need to find some nice boys that arent shallow.

I don't think that a lot of men now days understand that beauty is only skin deep. They can't look on the inside of a person. Sad to say some women are the same way also.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder,one guy can think you're alright looking,another guy might think you're the sexiest little thing to walk this planet!!
have confidence...back to the question..sorry bout that!!
hmm..maybe they think you are trying to hard .with your personality..dont try to come on to strong,be yourself,be friendly,give hints but not SLUTTY ones..like a pretty smile,a nice short stare,wave hi but in a decent,kind way!!
Dont come on to strong...i think at first you should let the guy make you laugh..guys like making girls laugh..now that's a hint that they want to see that pretty smile and laugh...!
when a girl TRYS to make him laugh...it's obvious she's trying too hard..be yourself always..but as a girlfriend..it's about mental attraction as well..not just physical..why do you think those fake bimbos always get left for the sweet honey?

Guys sure don't like it when the ugly girls like them. They just want to get away from her as quick as possible. Ugly girls are just wrong...guy don't even want to know they exist.
