Proverbs 6:16-18:
"These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
You know the supercilious arrogance of acting as if your unions are somehow superior to the unions of homosexuals - that is haughtiness. It is also sowing discord among your brethren. And we all know you're proud simply because your arrogant. You have shed innocent blood in your drive to end homosexuality more times than most people could imagine and therein lie the wicked plans (i.e. telling homosexuals they "can't" be Christians because of something in Leviticus yet refusing to give up their own abominations - shellfish, lying, not crossing in the crosswalk, etc. That sort of righteousness is beyond HAUGHTY.
YOU'RE BREAKING EVERY RULE! Does this mean you're all going to hell?

Oh, and if you're going to tell me that Leviticus was O.T. and Mosaic Law ended upon Jesus' death, then why the heck are you still quoting it to spread your agenda of hate against homosexuals?

Jenny J., R.M., etc. - Come ON, chuckleheads! Of course I know that God called homosexuality an abomination in the Leviticus you suddenly read literally when it suits you! I mean, really! The point of the question is that you lie, you cheat, you're haughty, you're arrogant and proud... Don't you GET IT??? I'M repeating God's words right back at you and you're telling me I'm doing Satan's work, Foxtrot? You're the sickest of them all. Since when was God's Word Satan's? ALL of these are considered abominations!

Bekka - While I gave you the obligatory 'thumbs up' I have to tell you though, judging by your words God is the biggest bigot of them all.

iagree- and oh my god(if there even is one) some of you are insane!!!! how can you dare say that homosexuals are "abominations" to god!?! what is wrong with you? it is amazing to me that you can sit there and beat on people who simply have an unconventional love life and yet most of you think it is heroic to go over to other countries and slaughter mass groups of people(even woman and children) just because our piece of **** christian president says it's ok ( and dont think i have a problem with christians because i dont, but i do have a problem with ignorant, close minded idiots like some of you who think you are superior just because you are an "obediant" christian) and if the christian god is real, and what the bible says is true, then you should know that the bible also says to love one another, to love all, to love thy neighbor as thyself, and also to NOT JUDGE one another... thats HIS job, and in fact, if hes really out there somewhere, he's probably getting PISSED at all you dumb ***** for being so stupid and uncompassionate and judgmental and BLIND

As a Christian, I have NEVER said a homosexual can't also be a Christian, but the simple truth is that all the Old Testament statement about homesexuality being an abomination holds true today.
2 Tim 3:16 ALL Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness...
As Christians, we are to REPENT of our sinful ways, whether that is lustfulness, alcoholism, any addicitions, lying, etc...As an Isrealite, Jesus came to fulfill the law, not do away with it. We are not under law because 1) we are not Isrealites and 2) Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, therefore Gentiles (us) do not offer blood sacrifices to God as the O.T. Isrealites did. Many of the laws were based on health issues, they didn't have all the high tech gadgets and medicines we have now, they were just good common sense. Some of the laws were very specific to the Isrealites, such as circumcision. God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah based on the sin (homosexuality) in the city and then turn around a couple hundred years later and change His mind. It was a sin then and it is STILL a sin. ALL sin is the same in God's eyes whether murder or homosexuality. Again, we are to REPENT from sin, if a homosexual become a Christian, praise the Lord, but he/she must turn from their sin, period. If an alcoholic gives up the bottle and becomes a Christian, they are STILL an alcoholic, but they don't drink anymore. If a homosexual comes to Christ, same rule applies. Deal with it.

leviticus is not the only book. the new testament speaks of sexual immoral will not enter the kingdom of heaven. sexual immoral is not only homosexuals, but also adultry, fornication, anything unclean or not normal. its not judging when quoting scriptures. we're not saying they'll go to hell the bible is. just cause one speaks from the bible doesnt mean they dont like the person living in the sin. but a christian cant condone something that's not pleasing to God. its not sowing discord teaching from the bible. sowing discord would be arguing bout the doctrine in the bible. this will probably make you mad but there is alot of questons bout gays. it doesnt matter how its worded in the question or any hypotheticaly speaking the bible says it wrong. do i think im better then them? no, even though i dont have that bondage, i deal with other fleshly matters. if your not serving God or if you dont believe in God then does it really bother you? alot of the world has accepted it. they will not be able to get the christians to ever say its ok unless the christians have been decieved too. its really pointless for this type of question to be posted for "christians" it seems to me that they are feeling condem from God if they must keep bringing it up.

Because a few passages in the Old Testament say that gays should be killed -- that's right killed, just like adulterers, people how have sex before marriage, witches, people of any other faith, rebellious kids, and those who breed mules or make blended fabrics (I didn't make that up, its in there) -- so people pretending to take things literally have to be against any of those things that aren't in their own lives (which they can conveniently ignore it)...
...surely there couldn't be any right-wing fear-mongering involved too, no way.

There's lot of abominations. People will go to hell even for minor sins, however. (sin defiles and corrupts the soul).
However, the sin of sodomy is a pervasive sin that causes it's practitioners to need to parade their perversion, try to justify themselves and try to corrupt society more aggressively than any other sin. Those who practice sodomy seem to have an insatiable need not just to practice it, but to bring it into public in every discussion and in every forum.
Liars have shame. Even the haughty have shame.
Sodomites have their consciences seared and do not seem to have shame. This is why they find it necessary to have every TV program, every movie, every commercial, every party, every song, every comedy scene, everything I see and hear in public - pushing their vile behavior in my face. I can't go anywhere but I see this or hear this in public.
Why do they do this? Because they have chosen the abominable.
God created marriage, between one man and one woman. Every other form of intimate sexual relationship is a violation of the created order.
I have never said a homosexual can't be a Christian. But being a Christian means repentance. They may practice sin as normal some other places, but it's not tolerated in my church - not haughtiness, not slander, not lying.
God created you for beautiful things. Why would you want to practice perversion and then demand to be accepted in God's community?
When I became a Christian, I forsook my wicked behavior.

Read Romans I:20 to the end of the chapter
and Second Corinthians
in the latter, it says that neither effeminate, nor homosexuals will enter the kingdom of God
I didn't say it, the Bible did.

Ya wanna talk about Leviticus???
If you knew the Bible, you would know Leviticus says this:
Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
God has never said anything different from this.

Now this question deserves a star!
How true.
Even if people would ever agree that
homosexuality is a sin...
SO?
Everyone sins, every day...
and that doesn't mean you can't follow Jesus...
He even says "I didn't come for the righteous,
but to call sinners to repentance."
Jesus lived, died, and lives again today FOR SINNERS!
(of whom I am definitely one)

How is it that you ascribe the law of God, as an act of arrogance of his believers?
You know though, the very fact that you try the tactics of Satan to browbeat the believers, is proof that the Bible is truthful.
I am not surprised that those of your opinion continue to attempt your influence over those who are less experienced in the scriptures. You, my fellow man, were foretold in the Bible. You, and your agenda. If you doubt that your agenda is prophesied, then please refer to the Bible again at:
2 Peter 3:. 3 For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires,
Jude :18 “In the last time there will be ridiculers, proceeding according to their own desires for ungodly things.” 19 These are the ones that make separations, animalistic [men], not having spirituality.
Please? do not cease in your ridicule, otherwise you may prove the Bible false.
