Embarassingly enough, my puggle puppy swallowed a condom the other day, and im so scared that it could harm her digestive tract or stomach. Does anyone know anything about this situation? PLEASE no sarcastic answers, my fiance and i are already embarassed enough about the situation. Thanks for any help you can give!

Look i laughed too when it happened at first, then i started worrying, i dont want anyone to think im an irresponsible owner, we set the condom on the nightstand and opened the bathroom door to go in and clean up, and when i came out Dixie had snuck into the room and had the condom in her mouth. When i tried to get it from her, she swallowed it. i dont just leave used condoms laying around, they DO always get thrown away, but she just snuck up on me. :(

you never know....dogs have died from less and others have made it through worse. THe only things you can do is take her to your vet....call ahead of time so you don't have to announce it when your signing in!
And next time clean it up...and watch after your dog like you would a toddler! They aren't aware that things like funny looking slimey rubber things can kill them!
I WOULD NOT WAIT 4 OR 5 DAYS! Because she is a pup and this could kill her...just be safe and take her. They will do an x-ray and will be able to tell you if it is going to pass or not. THey may have to do surgery. Don't worry...working along side vets I can tell you they have heard it all and all they are concerned about its the welfare of the animal...so don't feel emarressed just make sure your baby is going to be alright :)

if it dont pass in a couple of days like 4 or 5 then bring her in .i would just keep a eye on her dogs pass lots of thing that they eat she will be ok . p.s. as long as no viagra was use in this matter she can pass it by herself (lol)

tip: not to be rude but when you guys have sex try throwing it away not leaving where a dog can get it.

hey i know this is embarrassing the same thing happened to me,and yes it could harm her i took my puppy to vet and they got it fixed but it may cause surgery

If it didn't came out with her poop, bring her to the vet. Yes, puppies love to chew on stuff while they are teething.

No. Drug smugglers do that everyday with condoms filled with heroin. Most live to tell about it.
