who performs Foley catheter flushing procedure?

A doctor, nurse, or any trained health care provider can perform the flushing of Foley catheter. Depending on the ability of the outpatients, they (or the guardian) may be given due teachings and instructions to do it by themselves. Whoever does it, sterile technique should be on top of the priorities when doing the procedure.
