OK it's like this: it depends on what guy you ask. Generally it takes an immense amount of of pain to get a guy to cry. Probably more pain than it takes to woman to give birth. Simply because in society, it is a sign of weakness for a man to cry. It is an even greater thing of disgrace for it to be known a man cried. Worse yet, it is greater taboo for a man to cry in public.
This is not be sexist or anything of that nature but generally women are more in tune to their feelings and emotions and the world no matter how repressive it is towards women commends them for it, but in a guys case, more often than not he is forced to put emotion and personal feeling aside in order to survive the prison which only he himself could create.
The answer to what makes a man cry is simply this: a man will cry for any reason that makes him feel like his world has disintegrated. When I say disintegrated, I don't mean that the guys' world crumbled, I mean it shattered into so many pieces that it would take him years to put back together even the smallest fraction of it.

About the only thing that makes me cry is if something happens to my 5 yr old son... that is about it. I think the only time I have cried in the last 10 yrs is when my son was so sick that he could not breath (asthma) and I just wanted to change places with him to relieve his pain...see now my eyes are welling up just thinking about it..
So I guess your question makes me cry...as well as anything serious that happens to my son.

uhhh, Death of a friend, family or pet, uhhh long relationship that you thought was great then you break up, finding out your going to die, finding out that gilr you had sex with last night was your long lost sister, feeling like you ****** up so bad it will never get better, uhhh and it depends thats just the normal guy, a softy might cry watching a sad movie, or a unemotinal asshole might not cry when there best friend dies

a good kick in the nads will probably make us tear up. but full out crying would be something bad happening in the family like a death or extreme extreme pain

real guys cry for three reasons
1.a parent or friend died
2 they got kicked in the balls
3 or the love of there life broke up with them
