Well if they are smart, which I seem to think most are not and I should know I am a guy, it would be 18. That is because it is not easy to find someone who you are attracted to and who you will get along with. I have dated, not a lot of girls, but a few and I have found that there are to many crazy ones out there. Then there are some that you are just not compatible with, that's why I say one should start dating women you would only consider marriage material at age 18.

At 29, guys look for wife material. Some do marry before that.
Then at age 36-40, they start looking at 18 to 20 year old women. That's when mid-life crisis starts to kick in. They feel that going with younger women will make them potent and immortal.
The same goes for women starting at age 34-38. They usually go for younger guys, ten years younger than they are.

There is not a specific age.
Guys usually don't calm down about girlfriend material until they have found that someone that usually helps them mature into a man. Then there are the guys that get upset cause all of their friends are getting married and they aren't .

~When they realize that their getting old and can't do some of things they use to do. I say about 28 is tha average for me. Because my generation of people get married when they are about that age. But my moms generation got married 18 or 19. So you really can't say when a guy starts looking for that special woman to spend tha rest of their life with. I'm sure when the grow up and take on the responsibilities as a man then they get themselves right and go and start looking for a woman to settle down with when they have a steady life.~

depending on the maturity of the man, really. some its 40 while others really want marriage before there 25. the average point at which a man starts looking far a wife is 28-32. other times the wife finds them!

All of your traits describe an engineer, which is a great job. A good boyfriend is someone who tells a girl she's beautiful and not hot, who pays attention to her favorite things (So you can get her nice gifts), and has a great personality. You sound like a perfect guy, but not the best job. Try getting a degree for engineering. Its a well paying job. Eventually you will find your match. I know it.

No really, when he begins to mature, and take serious responsibility for his actions, and demonstrates he is serious about life. He has to get the jackass out of him first.
He holds a job
He makes decent pay, and can support a wife
He has savings in the bank
He has all his bills paid on time
He's fallen in love and severed ties with all ex-g/f's

It's different for every guy, I know a guy nearly 50, looks like George Cloony, he's not going to settle down for some time yet.
But a guy's looks aren't the biggest factor. Unfortunately there is no way to tell which guy is going to settle down until you get to know them.
