Is it okay for evangelists to wear crosses? Or even acknowledge them? I'm asking because my friend says no like he wont let his son wear a cross? Is that true?

Wearing a cross is nothing more than a tradition. There are no laws about it. It seems that more Catholics and Orthodox wear crosses than evangelicals. I see evangelicals wearing Jesus fish lapel pins or brooches. I choose not to wear a cross because I don't want to give anyone the impression that I might be Catholic.

Never heard that. Sounds like legalism. I believe the bible. That makes me evangelical. I have freedom in Christ. I can wear all the crosses I want, but I choose not to wear any of them. I want people to see the resurrection in my attitude and actions. The cross is only the first part of the gospel, all have sinned and the wages of sin is death. The gospel, the good news is that Christ died for us and rose from the dead and whoever believes in him will not die but have eternal life.

Sure they can wear crosses. Protestants just don't wear crucifixes because there is an image of Jesus on the cross and they worship the risen Savior and therefore the cross is bare.
