Any idea what could cause this. Just when I'm about to make an appointment at the shop it starts working for a good week then goes out again. Guess it's time to take it in. I'm guessing a loose wire.

what you need to do is replace the bulbs in the lights ,this may be whats causing it to do this, often enough the bulbs will work loose or get corroded and not make good contact, usually changing the bulbs will take care of this ,and it also saves you a trip to the repair shop, and a lot of money, good luck on it.

From my experience when that happens one of the bulbs may be burned ot

your some rear bulbs have two elelements and when one burns out the whole system does not work ON THAT SIDE

I hope you are one of the few people who know JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE YOUR INDICATOR ON -- DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO PULL OVER

( wow I am sorry about that, but these Florida Drivers make me crazy )

The next time it messes up, if you can pull over and take a look at your lights is one burned out? Either the front or the back? If it is then that is your problem.

If not, then maybe the flasher is going bad, or a bad wire in the steering column, or even a bad indicator switch.
