I am no fan of Mr. Bush. He and his minions have done a huge disservice to this country that we will be paying for financially, spiritually, diplomatically, and security-wise for the next two generations.

His greatest achievement is timing salesmanship. No public would have put up with his administration's incompetence, hubris, and arrogance if not for 9/11 and his excellent ability to use that as an instrument of fear to pursue his warped agenda.

But all is not bleakness and incompetence:
We have reasonably good internal security (at least much improved over pre-9/11). The patriot act (which is not perfect) gave law enforcement and intelligence services the tools and ability to share information. What was done here was largely necessary and we are safer.

The economy is reasonably robust. Many attribute that to Bush tax cuts. That may be true, but I think the economy is robust because it is propped up with war spending (that is adding to the deficit) and was propped up by soaring home values where people felt free to go into debt to spend because their rising home equity would cover it. If so it is a house of cards that is masquerading as sound economic policy and will leave a horrible mess for the next administration.

Well he has got us way closer to a FASCIST government then his grandpa Prescott ever could have dreamed of...and Prescott DID dream of doing that. In fact Prescott, according to a BBC report released this week, actually hired a WWI general to put together a 500,000 man private army of disgruntled WWI vets to perpetrate a coup de tat and institute a fascist government in 1933 at the same time he was financing Hitler and Mussolini. Yes fascism has been high on the to-do list of the Bush crime family for a long long time.

He has also, with congressional help, bankrupted the country. We now owe the international bankers about 7 times what the net worth of the entire country is.

He also helped his buddy Larry Silverstein out with a complete demolition of the World Trade Center complete with a 14 Billion dollar insurance settlement to pay for the makeover.

Next month he will meet in Ottawa Canada to complete the North American Union making Mexico, Canada and the USA ONE COUNTRY.

Hey but he hasn't had sex with any interns that we know about.

1. Lied us into a war that never needed to be fought in Iraq.

2. Rode as a passenger and landed on an aircraft carrier. How brave. Nice cod piece though. ROFL

3. War an air force flight jacket and pretended to be what he will never be on the best day of his life...an honest to God warrior and vet. His behavior in this regard was an insult to me and every real vet in this country.

4. Shredded our Constitution and our ideals with such Legislation as the Patriot Act and such actions as Rendition, Torture and suspension of Habeas Corpus.

5. Bungled the management of the occupation of Iraq.

6. Spoke support our troops out of one side of his lying mouth while overseeing a VA that treated Iraq war wounded poorly and housed them at Walter Reed in facilities that a dog should not have to live in.

7. Supports his friend and fellow liar Gonzo.

8. Commuted Libby's sentence and ignores the plight of the border agents who caught the Mexican drug dealer.

9. Has shown a great capacity for lying.

10. Has not had a single pre-Iraq invasion prediction actually come to pass.

11. Dropped the ball in Katrina aid..."Heckuva job, Brownie".

There are many more important achievements of Bush and his Administration. Anyone care to list more?

Oh, one more...Our first President to have conversations with God. I understand that 8 of the 10 voices in his head told him to lie us into the invasion of Iraq.

My God, yet another. Has managed to become the second least popular President in American history. his 65 percent disapproval rating is only one percentage point behind Nixon's lowest rating. I believe he will be a shoe in to become number one in this regard.

As a vet who understands that war should be a last resort and not the first resort of crooked politicians like Bush, I will never forget our brave sons and daughters in the military who were killed and wounded because of Bush's lies. I will also never forget the liar and those who have been stupid and gullible enought to support him.

He corrupted the DoJ to the point that he -- Bush -- has absolute rule and Congress is utterly powerless.
By making USAs political appointees who will prosecute members of the opposition party and will pursue voter fraud cases of the opposition party on demand he has made fair and free elections as quaint as provisions of the Geneva Convention.
He created wealth beyond imagining for friendly neo-con war profiteers.
Just for starters, a few "achievements."
How does his father feel about him, I wonder.

2. Stated that democrats want to cut and run. Oh wait Colon Powell (who is much smarter than Bush) Cut and ran on W.
3. Took over Iraq to rid the land of weapons of mass destruction. Oh wait there were no weapons of mass destruction.
4. Sat and read to a second grade class on 9/11. FOR TWENTY MINUTES AFTER HE WAS TOLD OUR COUNTRY WAS UNDER ATTACK!
5. Has managed to finish just ahead of Cheney in the popularity contest.
6. Made Haliburton a ton of money while rewarding them with a bunch of military cleanup contracts.

I could type all night but I am getting tired. Think I will just go hug a tree and call it a night! Oh wait I am a republican!

Cut income taxes
Rescued our failing economy
ended the death tax
Destroyed two fascist regimes (Taliban and Ba'athist)
Exposed New Orleans for the cesspool of corruption it is
Brought Enron and Viacom into court
Forced Al Qaeda to fight in a time and place of our choosing
Kept us out of the disastrous Kyoto Accord
Reduced the number of countries trying to build WMDs from 3 to 2
But I guess none of that matters to you because he has a (r) after his name. By the way, what have you done for your country in the last seven years?

LQTM--but that's so I don't scare the cat.

I don't know if "achievements" is the right word; the word you are looking for is "screw-ups."
