For me, the book of Job has always been a mysterious story. What is God trying to tell us through the story of Job. I guess its that if we always have faith, that ultimately God will be there for us. Job was diseased, tortured, he lost everything, and he still kept his faith. I guess the story also tells us that no matter what happens on Earth, God is in charge and can do anything.
And then there's Revelations: that story is just full of mysterious and strange things.
What books and stories in the Bible confound you the most?

It's a toss up. Why did Lot offer his virgin daughters to the mob instead of two strangers, or why did Moses tell the army to kill all the little Midianite boys. Then again, it's not that puzzling. On the other hand, there's the bit in Genesis about insects having only four legs, plants being created before the sun, birds coming from the sea, and the mysterious missing rib which isn't actually missing.

Every book of the bible offers great insight into the heart of God. God says you will find Me when you search with all your heart. Are you studying? I suggest you check out Jon Courson's application commentary books. Leviticus, revelation and Job are amazing books. The more you study them the more you get out of them. God's promise.
Invest some time here and watch God bless you abundantly.

I don't see much reason to study it in the first place;
The entire bible has been passed down through more than 2000 years of being edited and added to by scholars and scribes with their own fantastic, imaginary tales to tell. The bible has been mistranslated into many different foreign languages and back. It shouldn't be relied upon for truth.

The story where Christ casts out the evil spirits into the pigs and they supposedly threw themselves over the cliff.
Revelation until I understood it.

Most of it. The old testament was writtens by humans who made up things about their origins.
The new testament was also written by humans but they were selective in what they wrote about the life of Jesus.
