My boyfriend is supposed to be coming to visit me tonight, but thanks to Greyhound, he won't get here until after the Metro closes. (Guestimated TOA is roughly 1AM)

Is there any way to get him from the Greyhound Station (located by Union Station), to Ballston Station at this time of night, or morning, or whatever you want to call it? I have a feeling a cab would cost a buttload of money, which we don't exactly have, and I don't have a car, as the transmission went a few days ago.

If tonight is Friday or Saturday night you can still take the metro. On Weekend nights, the Metro runs later. If he could be at Union Station by 1:42 am he could catch that red line train toward Metro Center, then switch to the Orange Line Train to Ballston at 2:01 am and he could be in your arms at Ballston by 2:15 am. And these aren't the latest trains either :)

Metro is open until 3 am on Weekend Nights (Friday and Saturdays), so you shouldn't have anything to really worry about!

Go to www.wmata.com, type in your origin (Union Station) and your destination (Ballston Station) and the time you are leaving, and Metro will give you several options.

Metro (subway) runs late on the weekends and you can always take a metro bus.
