I will need both knees done in a year or so and was wandering if you could tell me what it is like to go through it. Fast recovery or very painful?

I had a knee replacement done 12 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. It gave me a new life!! Yes, there was pain but they gave me medication for that. My knee is still good as new. Go for it!!

My mother had it done, and it took about 3 weeks of physical therapy to get back on her feet. Now she's almost pain free after 6 months. It is painful but they give you meds for pain. Get a good Surgeon and make sure he has experience. Depending on your age & physical condition, you may want to do one at a time...??
