I would love to find a job with the city, i heard longsharemen is a verry good place to work, but i dont know how to applie in line or where to go to applie.

Its a very long hard process.
My step father got in on the lottery.
They do this "lottery" every year.
You have to send a post card to an address and they may or may not choose you.
You have to pass a physical, take a drug and alcohol consumption test and if you pass that, you will be hired as a casualty.
Your hours will suck but its just a survival of the fittest.
If you can hang in there, it is an excellent job to have, wonderful benefits and endless possibilities.

It is called Longshoreman. You will have to wait until they start hiring again. It is very hard to become a longshoreman.You really have to know someone, then when you do get a position some start as Casuals. Casuals work 2-3 days a week. They hardly have job openings. They just offered positions last year or the year before.

My husband is a retired Longshoreman. It is VERY hard to get your foot in the door. You really need to know someone who can get you a application. And those are scarce. Just go down there and maybe go to some of the bars they hang out at and try your luck.
