Mine are:
* Never doze off for a long time in an old vehicle with all windows shut
* Females must always sling their hand-bags
on the side facing the pavements
* Young children must never be locked in the
car during hot days when the parent goes
shopping

Thanks for valuable inputs!

Never leave your pet unattended in a car; even with the windows cracked open they'll still bake to death.

Never drink coffee or anything else while driving and never apply make-up, talk on the cell phone, eat a sandwich or anything else that you have to open or retrieve from a package, look at a map or do anything else that will distract you while you're operating a vehicle.

Don't smoke while you're driving (I'm guilty of this myself) as the smoke will accumulate and cause a buildup of nicotine on the windows reducing visibility, plus there's the danger of dropping the ashes from your cigarette (or in my case, cigar) in your lap, which will cause painful burning and itching in your crotch area!

That's my "big three". Good luck!

don't leave chocolate bars in the center console too.
When near empty fill the gas tank. After driving 1 and 2 thousand miles check the oil level and never let old oil go more than 4,000 miles.
Don't drive backwards at 40 miles an hour.
Don't show simulated gang signs to Johnny baggy pants at the intersection away from your home.
If you carry a gun know how to use it and practice.

Don't let kids play with crayons in the car. They melt to the upholstery and make an awful mess.

Don't eat in the car, nothing worse than getting into someone's car that smells like the grease trap at Burger King.

A car is not a plaything. Don't let your kids play in or on your car.

Btw, someone else mentioned leaving pets in the car. I'm in Phoenix, and the interior of a car here can get to 180 degrees in a matter of minutes. If you leave your pet in the car, the authorities will break your window to get them out. Just thought I'd throw that in.
