Well, my feet happen to be very flat, but I am seriously considering joining the Army soon (my last year of High School). However, it is not he type of flat feet were you get pain when you walk, it is the other kind (I forget the term for it however).

So, my flat feet does not impede my physical potential. Just wondering, as I seriously have to consider it.

Nowadays, you can get a waiver for anything. They will spend thousands of dollars fitting you with orthodics if they have to. As long as you can pass your PT tests, you'll be good to go.

When I was getting my physical exam to determine whether or not I was fit enough to enlist inti the military I witnessed some guys who had been told that their flat feet disqualified
them from being able to join. Apparently they consider all
flat feet conditions to be a disability.
Call your local recruiter, explain your condition and situation just to make sure. Perhaps, you might be eligible under some
special exception to the rules or something . Good luck!

my husband has just been given a VA disability along with other items on having flat feet, he did not have these when he joined......and was told that had he had flat time at time of joining then it would have disbarred him but the BEST place to ask would be at the recruiters...........rules change all the time.

regards

My brother has flat feet and a torn rotator cuff but he was still sent to Iraq, so I think you're good.

No affect at all as long as it doesn't affect your physical performance and it doesn't sound like it does.

Boots these days are much more supportive of your feet.
