how he was spit on, mocked, beat very badly, pierced in his side, yet never opened his mouth. he could have called the angels but he didnt. he stayed on the cross! he knew us and yet still love us! even said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. we cant even let go a minor betrayal but he died without deserving death. we are so unworthy of his mercy and he still loves us.

Absolutely! It is a love like no man can possess nor, duplicate! To have all put on Him...sins of the world and yet, willingly, laid down His life so that we could be with the Father, in Heaven.
There is a song, called "The Hammer"...it reminds me that it was the weight of my sins upon HIM that day too! That with every blow of that hammer...I too, took a turn!
Indeed, I am not worthy but, I am forgiven!

That is the absolute beauty of the Lord is it not? He is so above what we are able to think or wrap our finite minds around. Yes isn't He merciful and mighty. You could dwell on that one treasure and spend days inside of it. We have an awesome God and we should be shouting it from the rooftops and the high hills. Be blessed and keep the questions coming. The New Testament was written 30 years after the events of Christ. The entire bible has been passed down through more than 2000 years of being edited and added to by scribes and scholars with their own fantastic tales to add. It has been mistranslated into different languages and back again. It should not be relied upon for its truth value.

Sometimes I can't believe He loves me and stands by me even when I fail. What blows my mind is that when He was on the cross He took the sin of every single person that was ever created and felt it. He had to be God to do this. He deserves all our praise

Yes! I am actually studying about that because I need a better understanding of his love for me. God constantly forgives us and calls us to him and look how we treated him...and still treat him.

He did all of this for me...I know I will never be able to "do" enough to thank Him for what He has done for me. I fail so often, but He loves me just the same. That kind of love is soooo.....wonderful. Thank you my awesome and wonderful Father for your grace and mercy, for giving up your life for mine.

i do think bout his love and mercy but not as much as i should. we should think of this ALL the time. there is no one on earth that would love you like He does. this love is very special!
