He is doing one hell of a job. He is great.

I remember Joe being interviewed by a lib and they said to Joe how can you do this to these people, is the public going to get pissed off at you.

His response was great, he said if they think I am doing a bad job they will fire me, BUT they have yet to do that so I guess I am doing what they want done.

I don't now if Sheriff Joe is the best cop in the US but he is most definitely a fine politician. What does you men Steven C? AS the elected sheriff or Maricopa county ole Joe can certainly be armed. Were he a felon I doubt he could serve as sheriff. So state your facts please.

He certainly seems to have either a brilliant understanding of the law, or good legal advisers.

While some of his programs are stretching the boundaries of federal law, all of them appear to comply with federal requirements while still accomplishing his goals....

Which is different than many other similar attempts, which simply ignored federal laws. So Kudos to the Sheriff for both having a good intent, AND finding a good and creative (yet still legal) way to achive those goals.

While I love Sheriff Arpaio's policies and procedures and wish more departments were able to use them, unfortunately in our litigation-happy society toady, the civil liabilities and payments in attorney fees he has had to pay out, out weigh, at this time, his policies.

Do I think the civil suits are BS??? You betcha. But that doesn't stop them from suing and for him to pay the legal fees or settlements. What is our country coming to??

Keep it up, Sheriff.

Actually, yes.

I wish all sheriff and police departments did what they could to save a little money, and in the process, actually PUNISH the criminals.

Simply. Awesome.

Well, to say such a thing you would have to know every other law enforcement officer and have details of their records. Do you?
