Yes. They both seem to produce the same ideology. Tranquility and Harmony.

A prayer is directly to God and should be, by it's very nature, truthful. After all, how do you lie to God? A spell should have as it's most important ingredient, positive intent. Maybe that applies to a prayer as well. --- Thanks for a thoughtful question, Terry!

Since spells are basically the same thing as prayer, just with a little more flare, YES, they both need to be honest! You are speaking with the God(s)/dess(es) and telling them what you are thankful for as well as what you would like to have happen so, you need to speak from the heart, and make sure what you say is what you want. As my Mother always said : Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Well, I don't know anything about spells, but I do agree that you have to be completely honest when you pray. God, or whatever divine power an individual believes in, is generally viewed as "All-Knowing", meaning you could lie, but he already knows the truth. What good would it do to lie anyways? If you are going to pray, what would be the point of lieing?

Well truth is good but intention is even there. I guess if you wanted to say that truth is sort of the same as intention. The truth in way you are doing the spell.

No, because if truth were important to the person they would have to stop praying or trying to cast spells. Truth is neither one does anything.

nah, I believe the most important ingredient is faith, faith that the prayer or spell will work you have to believe it will work. FAITH is what will make that happen.

I think it is intention.

Why? Well the true measure of an impact is its outcome, our intention is the desired outcome.

The most important thing about prayer is offering it to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we can come before the throne of grace to obtain mercy.
