Closed borders, enforce our laws deport those that are not here legally

The borders need to be closed for a short time.2 months max.As that's being done we need to address those already here. Not citizenship but some type of legality or deportation which ever is warranted after a background check.Temporary visa's could be issued during this time period until all background checks are completed.Once we have this initial program in place we need smart borders and reform.

Every Country should have borders that are Respected by Tourists from other Countries. The Laws should be strictly obeyed and to enter into any other country, each person should have a permit. Each Government should make sure all their citizens, obey the Laws of other Countries. If immigrants want to work in other countries, then they need to get permission from the Country they want to go to, and work. Also their Governments, need to have them fill out forms, in regards to what they are doing. Like Mexico. It is all out of control. Seems like the people are desperate to leave their country and the Government doesn't seem to care. The President of Mexico, needs to take a long hard look and fix this major problem, that is being dumped on Americans lap. Then the Propaganda is tremendous.

Smart borders, if you mean by that we allow immigration and passing back and forth to work, but in a controlled way. We can't just have completely open borders, because there's already been incidences of criminals and terrorists crossing over that border and hurting people. We can't just have closed borders and still maintain America's tradition as a land of immigrants, or good economic practices (such as trade), either.

I would want limited open borders. If it was open borders, it would be chaos, that's simple, it it was closed borders we would be contradicting ourselves by denying those who are trying to live the American dream by moving to America. This country was founded and built upon immigrants. So if I had to choose, I would go for neither of your options, I wouldn't pick smart borders either because spending millions of dollars on a fence is only trying to make those people in Washington sleep better at night.

Smart borders - I'm assuming this is a technological wall as opposed to actual concrete - and reforms. Immigration is a crazy mess right now. It needs to be consolidated into an efficient and feasible policy. They can't even get passports for Americans to go to the Bahamas right now so I can't even imagine what it would be like for someone from Brazil.
