Yes God does condemn suiCide.
Religious
Main article: Religious views of suicide
In most forms of Christianity, suicide is considered a sin, based largely on the writings of influential Christian thinkers of the middle ages, such as St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. Their arguments are based largely around the commandment, "thou shalt not kill" (made applicable under the New Covenant by Christ in Matthew 19:18), and the ideas that life is a gift given by God which should not be spurned, and that suicide is against the "natural order" and thus interferes with God's master plan for the world[3][4]. However, it is believed that mental illness or grave fear of suffering diminishes the responsibility of the one committing suicide[5]. Suicide was not considered a sin under the Byzantine Christian code of Justinian, for instance [6][7]. Counter-arguments include the following: that the sixth commandment is more accurately translated as "thou shalt not murder," not necessarily applying to the self; that taking one's own life no more violates God's plan than does curing a disease; and that a number of suicides by followers of God are recorded in the Bible with no dire condemnation

God not only condemns suicide, but also all activities that lead to the unnatural and untimely deaths of all life, especially human life, as human life is the essence of the creation of life on Earth. Human beings alone seem to display the ability to see through their mind's eye to realize the existence of God Almighty and communicate with Him.
It is true that animals may also have an awareness at their level of their Creator, but the nature of relationship between God and human beings is at a very special level.
Suicide has many negative side effects. First, one is deciding not only his or her own fate, but is also killing all his or her children to be. If you look around your own family and if you have any grandparents, imagine if they had been killed or committed suicide God forbid at a young age, see how many people in your family would not be born.
Does an individual have such a right to become a mass murderer? As that is what suicide or murder really becomes in many cases. Killing one person is killing all of humanity is how the Quran interprets murdering of any human life, according to chapter 5 verse 32 (easy remember this verse by remembering we have five fingers and 32 teeth.. both play a crucial role in feeding us and keeping us alive).
That is why God condemns suicide. Besides, in case of murder, at least the wrong doer has an opportunity to ask for mercy from the Holy One or attempt at console, apease or act to reduce the impact of his action on the victim's family. In the case of suicide, one leaves one's near and dear ones totally shattered and at a loss, never to overcome the loss.
Thus the Lord Almighty totally condemns suicide or murder, flipside of the same coin, in which one becomes a mass murderer having an impact on hundreds of millions of people.
Imagine if any of our great great grand father had committed suicide a 1000 generations ago, who many people would be denied the right to live. This should answer why it is condemned. In such a situation a person in a given generation is playing god and deciding that all new life should not be born in his lineage!!
The same unfortunately is true for being a homosexual, as it terminates your chain of genes. If many people simultaneously terminate the transfer of genes to the next generation, this would create a major problem in the human species.
I hope this makes sense.

Well, last time I checked, he wasn't around physically restraining anyone from jumping... but all the mainstream religions seem to reject it.. on account that it diminishes membership and thus income.... but you can find the odd sect here and there that does a group suicide .. not sure what that's about... trying to catch up with the supreme alien being, I suppose..... and then there are those of us who would rather do it than suffer in their own juices any longer. They just want people to feel sorry for them.
So .. here is one for you .... How morbid can an answer to this question be?

Only He has the power to create life and take life. He is the Almighty God. How foolish of us to take away our own lives today when tomorrow the pain could have vanished for good in the blink of an eye.

Suicide is the opposite of everything God is and everything He asks you to do. God is a source of peace, joy. He asks that you not worry and that you cast your cares on Him.
The Bible contains accounts of triumph over evil, over Satan, over sin, and even death. So if you are operating in his Love, experiencing His peace, and most of all trusting in Him: Trusting in Him to make a way for you, to lift you up, to grant you the desires of your heart, etc.
Then suicide would's make any sense at all -- because it first and foremost denies the power of God to act on your behalf here on earth. God can always make things better - just ASK Him, then TRUST Him.
He doesn't so much "condemn" a person who commits suicide -its that they are basically rejecting God and who He is first.....

God is loving, forgiving and understanding. He loves you no matter what you've done or what you’re going through. If it becomes unbearable praise him and ask for help. He is real and can change your life. If a Christian does commit suicide and he has proclaimed Jesus his savior he will be forgiven and saved. Know that he is God and ask for help in whatever the circumstance may be.

If your asking for yourself because you are feeling suicidal. Please don't try to justify making peace with God before you go. Your question shows a big pattern in the suicidal tendancies of someone. Call the suicide hotline. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. There is help out there. Yell it from the roof tops if you have to. You are not alone.

Ramos,
We are never told that GOD will never allow that person into heaven but we are to ask HIS Forgiveness for our sins and a person who commits suicide can never ask HIS Forgiveness. Thus it is probable that person will not be forgiven. I would be glad to answer any other question that you have about it also. I am sorry. Have a good weekend.
Thanks,
Eds (Christian)
Abel,
The "Catholic Church may pray for a person. IN the past, they allowed people to pay for a person's forgiveness after he had died also but GOD'S WORD is the answer NOT the Catholic Church. Praying for a person after they die is too late. GOD will judge each of us according to our acts on earth.

We are responsible to preserve our own life for God's honor and our salvation. We are stewards, not owners, and life is not ours to dispose of.
Suicide contradicts the human tendency to preserve life. It is gravely contrary to a love of self, a love of neighbor (because it breaks ties of family and friends), and love for God.
If suicide is committed to set an example (especially to the young) the act assumes the gravity of scandal. No one can voluntarily cooperate in another's suicide. Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, grave fear of hardship, suffering or torture can diminish responsibility.
Because God can always provide an opportunity for repentance, we should not despair of the salvation of the person. The Church prays for those who have committed suicide.
Peace and every blessing!

I am not sure if its in the Bible or not, but the Catholic position on it seems to be that you need to die with a clean heart, free of guilt, but if you kill yourself you have taken life and you obviously did not have time to apologize, to atone, for the sin of killing, so you automatically condemn yourself. I think thats the Catholic position, anyway, maybe somebody else will have a better answer. Don't kill yourself.
