Theres this guy at work that had expressed to several people that he thought I was hot. However, my first few weeks there he completely avoided me it seemed. We finally had to go on an assignment together and got to talk. Another coworker said that the guy was really excited about getting to work with me. I casually asked him to go out for a drink one night and he happily accepted. Since then , he randomly texts me every couple days and IMs me and drops small hints but hasn't really made plans and I am not asking him again. Guys, what do you think the deal is?
I have also told him to call me . Says he will , never does but texts eventually or makes sure to talk to me the next day.

I can see two possibilities
1.He thinks your hot, but does not like you. He simply likes your body, but does not like you as a person. He'd happy have sex with you, but does not want to date.
2.He thinks your too hot for him. No matter what you say or do you will never like him in his mind. So he does not bother asking, as he knows you'll never say yes.
