I've been doing an hour of cardio every day since Monday- 15 minutes of stepping and 45 minutes of elliptical trainer at target heart rate. I've also watched my diet, eating about 2,200 calories a day (white meat, no fat, a lot of salad, etc...) And I've just weigthed myself to find that my weight hasn't changed. I also don't feel any change (in appearance or pants size). I'm very, very disappointed (seeing as I hate cardio) and am wondering if perhaps cardio is not for me and maybe i should be doing something else.
Dancing? Kickboxing? Those are my two available options. Maybe they would work better. Along with weight training.

First, you are talking about less than a week of exercise here, so you need to really set more realistic expectations.
Second, contrary to what most people mistakenly believe, long duration, low intensity cardio is actually one of the least effective ways to lose fat and get fit.
If you want much better results in less time, you'd be better off following a comprehensive fitness program designed around full body resistance training and high intensity cardio intervals.
Probably the best program out there to learn from and follow is one called Turbulence Training by Craig Ballantyne. You can check it out here:

If you find the stepping and trainer to be boring and uneffective, perhaps you should find an excercise that you can do without becoming too frustrated.
Also, it takes a lot of work to start losing weight, and you're not necessarily going to see results within the first week. It's going to take staying on a workout consistently for a good long time, measured in months rather than days.
The diet sounds good. Just make sure that when you start doing your excercises that you get your heart rate up. In fact, a heart rate sensor is a great purchase. Keep at it! It takes work over a long period of time!
Hope this helps.

Since MONDAY, and you're disappointed because you're not seeing results? Give it six weeks, not 4 days, and then see if there's a change. There is no instant gratification in either weight loss or physical fitness. It is a matter of perseverance. And even on the days you don't want to work out, do at least something, even if it's less than what you had been doing.

Romney was on top. Jindal and Palin were just down the list. Also, and very interesting, Ron Paul was nearly tied with Jindal and Palin. I believe Ron Paul is one of the few remaining conservatives who has even the slightest bit of honesty and vision. Just my opinion.

To lose weight, you should only be consuming 1200-1500 calories a day. You are overeating, my friend!
