For the past 1/2 year I've been a pretty healthy eater. But in the past month I've ran into some troubles and now it's getting bad.

I don't know what to do anymore - I've come to realize that I don't really like vegetables. I pack lunches everyday and usually include fresh veggies, but recently I get nauseated thinking about them... I make myself eat them anyways, but I'm hitting the point where I don't want to eat them anymore because I start to feel sick.

What the heck is wrong with me and how can I fix it? I've tried eating them with a light ranch or light italian dressing and even with salsa when I feel like I just can't eat them plain (which normally I do eat them plain).

Thx.

I already eat a lot of fruits! Hmm. Maybe I'll just up that a bit more for a few days. As for the v8 idea, I've never tried it. Maybe I should... but the thing is that wouldn't really make me satisfied/full would it? Wouldn't I just end up getting hungrier and eat extra calories? What about fiber?

Robert: is the yogurt itself flavoured or unflavoured? Thx.

Make sure you are washing them really good. Plus, try to buy as much Organic produce as you can. Eating all those pesticides might be the reason you feel that way or they taste funny to you after a while. I can't stand eating conventional Peppers, but I can eat an Organic one, same goes for Celery I feel sick if I eat the normal conventional ones but feel fine when I eat the Organic ones plus the Organic Celery always tastes WAY better to me. That is a sign! Foods such as Avocados, and Bananas you don't really have to worry about buying Organic if you are on a budget. However, foods that have lots of water or are soft on the out side need to be organic unless you want to slowly kill yourself and develop cancer or something else. The exception to this is Apples, you should always buy them Organic due to heavy pesticide spraying and wax (eeew wax!).

There is no such thing as "overdosing on vegetables" LOL! You can over eat one type of vegetable though, but that usually doesn't happen much.

Also, if you're just tired of veggies, why don't you try eating more fruits. More fruits might be what your body is craving more right now then veggies.

You probably realize that fruit & vegetables are key to a healthy diet.
Recent research has established that they help prevent cancer.
I make a dip out of fat-free yoghurt & sour-cream (50/50).
Stir in any flavourings you like:
Dried herb mixes, crushed garlic, lemon juice, horse-radish, etc.
Another recipe is a mixture of berries with cream-cheese & yoghurt.
Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, whatever's in season.
You can also sprinkle with ground flax seed or wheat-germ.
All of these help to restore your immune system.
You can add a spoonful of mayo to add preservatives if you want.

You may be sick of vegetables because you have overdosed on them. But some times it's because our tastes just change as we grow older. I don't like vegeys and I also make myself eat them. Some times just the thought makes me gag. At these times, I just don't eat them. I take a multi vitamin every day. I also find drinking V8 or Garden Cocktail is a good substitute as well and it doesn't taste bad.
