If you like it, go for it. I don't, not my taste. You won't get rich off it if you wanted to resale it.

If that was authentic it would cost about ten million dollars.Note that I said it would cost that, not that it is worth that. But the key thing in art is whether or not you can stand in front of a painting and get enjoyment out of it. If you can´t then forget about it. Incidentally that Matisse is probably a litho and you would no doubt get to hate it in short order. Try buying original paintings by unknown artists or there are websites in England devoted to copies of famous artists although they will cost you a great deal more than $14.95.

I would not bid on it as I do not care for Matisse. However if you like it and want it as part of your decor, then go for it. It is on poster type board so you would need to go to the expense of framing and matting the painting. It is 16x20 which is a little more expensive to frame. All in all it would depend upon how much you like the painting. I don't think it is valuable per see but I don't have any valuable art work but I love what I have.

I collect original art (yes, I'm an art snob) and never for one second would I consider buying a piece of art on eBay....especially from someone that is a brand new seller with a 0 feedback rating
Quite frankly, the price puzzles me ~ if someone had painted the silly thing, they would be asking much more than $14.95. I'm thinking its a copy of someone's knock off that has been glued to foam core.
Copying a Master is a skill practiced in College level "intro to oil painting."

i believe if you really like this painting you should bid on it...
but i personally wouldn't...if you google the original painting and compare the two it obviously isn't the same and isn't much of a remake...it's as though it's a completely different piece
original Matisse piece...

....also don't forget that it says it's painted on "hard cardboard similar to a science fair board" (doesn't sound very good to me....)

It says the medium is "paint". It doesn't even say what kind of paint. Oil, acrylic, poster paint, what?
Oh well. It's possible to get ripped off for much more than the $25 this guy is asking. If you like it, fine, but it's not something you can resell for big bucks...

if it is a remake, the value is up to you depending on whether or not you like it and want it on your wall.
i don't think we have any remakes here on our walls...ALL original...(that may sound stuck up untill you consider that my wife and i are both artists and the originals are predominately our own work, with a smattering of gifts from gifted friends) we don't buy art here, can't afford it.
