Golden bear is brand name.
Jack Nicklaus' brand I believe.
I'm sure they're just fine for your needs.
If they're forged blades, any pro would be interested to own a set.
If they're cavity back, that will probably be better for you as a beginner.

Jack Nicklaus, the greatest golfer to grace the planet to date, is a perfectionist, when it comes to clubs bearing his brand name. He is on record as having delayed the release of a new Golden Bear club until he was totally satisfied with it's playability. He thinks more of his 'good name' than just raking in the bucks! That should tell you the product is A-OK! Having said that, progressing through the inventory, is sensible, starting with a good name brand is the way to go, if you are serious about golf. I started with an unmatched set, then matched no-name and then Ping, been with Ping ever since, (30years)quality, precision, fitted to my build etc, Then there are no excuses. It goes wrong, it is Me not the clubs!

They are a decent set of clubs.....but more a beginners set. As you progress as a golfer you will naturally move to different clubs along the way. A lot of folks get hung up with brands. Its more what you can do with the clubs anyway no matter who makes them.

Honestly, unless you're really into golfing and take it seriously, those are perfectly fine clubs. They'll do what you want them to do.
If you do start taking golf more seriously then upgrading to a set of clubs like Senator (and as you progress even better clubs such as Nike or Callaway) would be a good choice as those will give you a lot more performance.

One it has nothing to do with jack.
just cause he designed them doesn't make them 18 majors good.
Honestly its all about how good you are. If you are newer and have a slower swing then yeah thats a good brand being that they only make full cavity backs... if you have a faster swing I recommend going for more of a blade... which you wont get with that brand
