I hear this lots of times in everyday conversation,I am guilty of this one also, but
this is a pagan word.
All our blessings come from above.Shouldn't we
be giving God the praise instead of the devil.

Sunset, you are 100% ccorrect. I always am trying to change the word "lucky" to "blessed" in my everyday conversation. At some point the word "blessed" will become my habit and I will no longer use the word "lucky."

This shows my ignorance because I don't know the origin of the word 'lucky". I had heard something along time ago but didn't get it.
The sad thing is that so many of our English words come from some form of pagan entity.
I believe that words have power if we give it the power. Alot of people didn't leave their house on June 6, 2006 (because of the imperfect #666) and records were broken on weddings on July 7, 2007(because of the perfect #777) we give into superstition and give too much power to it.
God is the only one who we should give, honor and lay down power to, not words or numbers.

Oh! I get so tired of hearing this is a pagan word or this is a pagan holiday! Lucky is just a word!

What, can't good fortune, or possible even another person take credit for when something good happens? Don't give up all your free will to your God.
