People who have been gifted with a psychic ability? !REAL QUESTION!?

Question

This Question is for people who have been gifted with psychic abilities or other abilities, esp, precognitive dreams, empathy, telepathy,etc. Where do you believe your gift/gifts came from? I am very interested in this subject & would like to hear your opinion.

Here are some of the ideas/beliefs/opinions that I have heard.
1.That the gifts come from the persons Deity (God,Allah, etc)
2.That people who have these gifts are a result of mankind's on going Evolution
3.That fallen angels (or Djinn/Jinn) had intercourse with humans thus resulting in people with unusual abilities.

If you agree/believe/understand any of the listed ideas/beliefs/opinions could you please explain them? I tried Google & Google did not help me with this subject.

My belief: it is a gift from God the Holy Spirit and is called prophecy or can be discernment. That is, in my case.

Hi :)
From the moment of conception, that quickening sparks into the yet unformed, a light, a light which contains the untainted and innocents of the gift of life, which in itself is the main gift you asked about.
From birth, the first inspiration to be bestowed upon an infant is light through the windows of its soul, the eyes.
Think about the things light brings and the things that darkness brings.
So as the child grows, its eyes become more rapid, opposed to the slow absorbing eyes of the infant and the beginning of materialistic indulgences come thick and fast.
For some, a tinkering of a thing remains, for others the hunger for a thing lost encourages fraudulant and deceptive behaviour..a shame, sharlotens and tricksters are so many.
Remember...things lost, when you apply yourself, are often found..
To close, the gift you ask about is not a single treasure but all that remains of what you started with..All Light :)

I;m no genius, but i believe that if you really beleive in something so much, than it will come to you as a gift. Some people say that it is genetics, but i disagree because it is nothing like having your mom's skin tone.
And i do beleive that people with these gifts are apart of mankind's Evolution. Why wouldn't it be? The 3rd one could be true, but it's different for every person with these gifts

All magick is natural and scientific, and I'm of the opinion that everyone has at least has the capacity to use it. I don't think it's possible for anyone to learn how it works, but I think they can learn how to use it. I have been able to know that things have happened, or that they are about to happen. I can't actively make myself know those things, it's more like temporarily loosen control of my thinking to let nature think for me. So I guess what I'm saying, is I don't think these gifts "come from" anywere. Thay are just a part of what has always been, and it's just a matter of whether they are, or are not interacted with by people. You know how dogs are able to sense things, and people have been able to measure plant's reactons to human thought? It's because they more naturally think along magickal lines, and humans are too cought up in their higher linear and logical thinking.to be connected to it.

Definitely number two. And for the record, there has been a great deal of very compelling scientific evidence to support the existence of psychic abilities, as well as numerous psychics who HAVE in fact produced very consistent results in laboratory experiment. Read 'The Holographic Universe' by Michael Talbot, for an extensive discourse on documented research into psychic abilities.

I believe what I have read on the studying of the human mind. Our brain has little wave lengths and some peoples are more sensitive then others. There is also lay lines on the earth they are like magnetic fields. These have been known to enhance peoples abilities. I recommend you do some soul searching and see what you believe.

The human mind is a very complicated organ. Must of us only use a small part of our brains in everyday life. We all possess some abilities in the mind that we may or may not be able to tap into. (Clairvoyance , ESP, telekinesis, etc.) I believe for whatever reason some of us can use more brain power. Some may have had an event that triggers it, some may teach themselves how to do it, it may come and go for some. It's a mystery of mankind. My advise is to become more cognizant of these thoughts and pay attention to your own feelings thoughts and emotions.

Not one single "psychic" has ever been able to repeatably demonstrate this ability in the lab or under any controlled conditions. There were some interesting results in the 70's, but they all turned out to either be hoaxes or badly designed experiments. Repeats were never possible. Please don't waste your time with something that is simultaneously pseudoscience and pseudoreligion.

I have a gift of 'seeing' things going to happen.
I also have a gift of sometimes looking at someone(if I've been around them a few times)and can tell if their lying,or full of evil,just by the 'haze' thats within them.
Along with a few others,but these are my favorite.
I got them from God.I am somewhat native,and my tribal name means to be close to the Spirit.But one can also obtain gifts when they are born again.The Holy Spirit gives them to them,and they are supposed to use them.Or the gifts may not last.Course I have been accused of being "nuts" or demon possessed.Kinda funny when you 'see' something and it comes true.Ooooo,people tend to deny you warned them out of fear.But thats their problem.I tend to keep alot of it to myself.Unless I'm asked.Then I give 'my opinion'.My closest friends respect my gift.

I was only told my gift is from God but I used to have control of it but I don't it comes when it feels like it I think because of stress but anyway I see colors all the time since I was young and have told my mom that her friend was in jail and I was only about 2 years old and didn't know what jail is and many other stories but the fallen angel idea...well...I don't believe in that but I do go for that its Gods gift to me.
