Yes.
First, your body will stop holding on to excess water, which will result in a decrease in body weight.
Also, it is neccessary for fat metabolization (I might have made that word up, but it's when you use fat as energy), and without it, it will not occur as efficiently.

YES, YES it can!
First, your stomach fills up with liquid so you will be less hungry; therefore eating less and loosing weight.
Second,
What a lot of people don't know is that water weight is caused by your body holding on to water when you don't give it enough and that the cure is drinking more water. Your body won't hold onto every drop of water it gets if you are giving it the proper amount of it.

yes.
yes, because it fills you up (which is mainly the reason why you should drink a glass before you eat a meal).
buuut, don't drink too much. there is such a thing as water poising. and one guy on "the biggest loser" said that he gained a couple pounds from all the water.
but i wouldn't worry about that....much.
just make sure you drink 8-10 glasses (or half your weight in liters) of water a day to help your body stay hydrated and flush out toxins. you'll be healthy as a nut.

To be honest nothing works better then eating less...no matter how much water you drink or excercise you do. If you eat like moe then 2000 calories a day ...you wont lose any and most likely you d putting on weight. I suggest drink water when you re feeling pekish...and if it doesnt satisfy your stomach after 30 mins, then eat a fruit.

drinking lots of water stops you becoming bloated and carrying lots of water weight. When we don't drink enough, our bodies store water, and this results in bloating. By drinking the recommended daily intake of water, this is enough to prevent your body from storing any. Also, it keeps your metabolism running, which burns calories.
It will also fill up your stomach, making you feel less hungry, and perhaps less likely to binge on snacks etc.

Yes, most definitely. 8-10 glasses a day is recommended. It rids your body of toxins and regulates your body's functions. Also, it's best to drink your water ICE cold because that speeds your metabolism. So do spicy foods (cayenne pepper, etc.) for that matter!

Logically youd think it would increase your weight unitil its passed through the bladder, but there is an argument that it can help to flush toxins and impacted fecal matter from the colon so who knows?

lower weight? erm..possibly. water flushes your body from toxins and helps keep you feeling fuller. if you drink lots of water daily your body eventually gets use to it and the "full" feeling dissipates.
