Why do Muslims feel the need to separate themselves? Does it matter whether you are a Sunni or a Shi’ite? We’re all Muslims and we follow one religion. So, why are there so many Muslims distinguishing themselves? It doesn’t matter if you’re white, black, yellow, green purple. It doesn’t matter whether you are Bengali, Pakistani, Arabic, Pathan,. Desi, Persian. It simply doesn’t MATTER Key word.
Therefore, my only request is: Quit forming a division amongst fellow Muslims.

We didn’t choose who was a Sunni or a Shi’ite. It all depended on the region at that time, and the different families there were. It wasn’t up to us at all, our ancestors, and it makes no difference who we accepted, as long as we accepted ALLAH(SWT) in our life.

PS: Doomsday_Patriot revealed to me that she wanted to convert to islam but her family stopped her. I guess that is the reason she has something against us.

And NO! You don't need to separate yourself. Culture and background doesn't mix with religion. People of all races will follow Islam in the same manner.

Honey: Another poser? WOW! This is the 4th Muslim poser ever.
Then simply you haven;t opened your eyes to the world, and ALLAH(SWT) hasn't shown the Light to you yet. Sabr, that's patience. Keep that in yourself.

Muslims today are following the religion, not the inner teachings of their faith, similar to what the Christians are doing.
These warm hearted Souls are known as lukewarm believers.
A person must go deeply within their traditions and develop, Saboor (Patience), Shukoor (Contentment), Tawakkal (Absolute Trust), and Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to God).
If this is not firmly established within the heart, the various traditions will always be at each others throats.

Give this a try my Brothers and Sisters.......

I agree that there should not be a division in Islam, however, I will not follow the Sunni tradition who follow the people that were responsible for the death of the Prophet Muhammad's family (pbut).

EDIT: To Plain Muslimah - the Shi'a have not added anything to the prayers...the Sunni however have changed the prayers (such as the crossing the hands, the addition of words to the call to prayer)...Who do you think would know how to correctly pray? The friends of the Prophet such as Abu Baker, or his family that lived in the same house as him (pbuh)? His family would know the correct way better...

EDIT: Notice...this is why there is separation....

Yes muslims are not SUPPOSED to make divisions, but we do it anyways, what I always wondered about those forming the divisions is if you think you have the right way then what will you form by dividing the ppl , who will get them on the right path if you seperate from them?Well I love all muslims, but Im not going to pray behind the Shia-thats the only thing with me,b/c as we know adding things into the salaat is bidah

Sunni and Shiite divisions are being inflamed by those who seek to DIVIDE and CONQUER.

I only see myself as Muslim, no affiliation with any groups. That is how I feel it should be.
