Not necessarily so. Needs of the military go first.


They will try to make reasonable accomodations, but it cannot be guaranteed. If any tells you otherwise, they are NOT telling you the entire truth.

Note: You may not be allowed to work in the same "place" but you may be assigned to the same base. I knew several cases like that.

Usually no. Most of the time that you see 2 married people married to each other working together, is if they met each other in the same unit and married. They usually won't move in these circumstances unless the CO wants to.

Otherwise usually when you go to a new post, you will have different units because of conflict of interest.But you will be able to get the same post.

The Navy and Marine Corps ALWAYS attempts to assign spouses to nearby bases, if not the same one. They do this because it keeps people in the military.

I don't think so. They don't assign husbands/wives in the same unit. Every one has different orders. It's possible that one day she will not be stationed in the same place as you.

It is not allowed to work with your spouse in the same chain of command.
