Enlistee ? is a term for somebody who has just enlisted in the Military, if they have been accepted as an Officer candidate and pass the graduation course, then they can add certain medals insignia to their officer Uniform (If you go from Non-Combatant to Officer status certain awards cant be worn but the ribbon can,) anyway if you are in the military, they will tell you what you can and cant do.
Why so many people claiming to be in the US military are asking questions here instead of their NCO's and officers is beyond me.
Unless they are a bunch of "wanna be's"

Unless if you were in the Reserves or National Guard and become an officer in the Regular Army.
Some of the Awards and Ribbons you cannot wear on your uniform because it was awarded by the state.

You should be able to keep your awards but warfare pins are an exception. If you are an enlisted submarine sailor you get the honor to wear "Silver Dolphins". If you become an officer submarine sailer you get to wear "Gold Dolphins" Same goes for the surface fleet. You can not wear silver and gold dolphins at the same time if you get commissioned, you trade them. However, if you are an enlisted surface sailor and become an officer submarine sailor you would wear your gold sufarce pin above your silver dolphins.

yes to both questions, with some exceptions.. some branch specific awards do not cross over to a new Branch, so one earned as a Navy enlisted sailor may not necessarily be allowed on the Army O uniform.

Yes. For example, good conduct medals can only be awarded to enlisted men, but those enlisted men that became officers still have them.
