Someone sent a check that was obviously a scam and they haven't returned my messages after I never answered back. Do I contact the authorities or what???

I had received one drawn off of an existing credit union in another state - though the Canada postage was a dead give away lol.

I contacted my AG and gave them the info.

I had this problem and contacted the authorities, they didn't do anything so I would just throw the check out.

I just tear that sucker up and toss it in the recycling bin. That's the only good use for it.
