In a recent post, an answer to a question read "Christians are cowards"

Given that tens of thousands of Christians put their lives on the line every day - as soldiers, as believers in Communist countries, as unarmed missionaries in very dangerous situations - do you think this is true?

No...This is the story of a Christian who defiantly wasn't a coward.
CHINA – On July 26, 2007, Beijing house church leader, Hua Huiqi was released from prison after serving six months.

According to China Aid Association (CAA), Hua Huiqi and his 76-year-old mother, Shuang Shuying, were arrested in January after being attacked by seven police officers. “While they were walking near a 2008 Olympic hotel site in Beijing, they were kicked to the ground and later taken to the Olympic police station for questioning. Hua’s mother was later sentenced to two years in prison. She is being held in a medical center because her health has deteriorated,” CAA said.

All groups of people have some cowards among them.We christians are no exception. Those who do not witness to others are cowards(No offence my friends). If anything though christians in countries where christianity is illegal have more backbone than the rest of us.They witness under fire.I am(I think) among those that are in between cowardice and courage.I witness but if I face too much pressure I act like a turtle and hide.I have to work on that.Pray for me my friends.

All my dear Brothers and sisters in the faith are in my prayers and so are those that oppose us.God bless you all.

Ordinary Christians are not cowards either. It takes real courage to stand up for right and a Christian often has to go against the opinions of friends, family, coworkers and bosses. Most people go along with the crowd but a Christian has to be different than the crowd and that is not easy for anyone.

No, being a coward has nothing to do with religion it has to do with personality. We dont have to go to the army, its a choice its not always a fear.I choose to be nuetral.going to the army you engage in murder and taking sides.they also leave behind the one thing that matters most in life, family. However i do respect them, they have a lot of courage to do that and it makes me sad because theyve made there choice and have to suffer there decision. Its like fighting for your country but do you really think that fighting and killing people(the number one problem today) is going to make this world a better place? Everylast ruler has failed at what he thought he could accomplish, they have a beautiful start but they all end, take for example alexander the great, excellent ruler, overtook cities, countries, nations, but then he fell and his prized accomplishments were divide out to others.Hitler, Famous ruler,he was a very mean person, persecuted jew's and alot of jehovah's witnesses and anyone who would not take sides with him and pledge there allegiance to only him.he also conquered over many countries but in the end he turned out to be the coward by killing himself because he came to realize that people were going to kill him and he left every soldier that had dedicated there lives to him to die.And it turned out that they found out he may infact have had jewish blood in him.He wasnt even German.

Hello,

Many do not fear mortal men but they do fear God and what may happen in the next life if they do not accept Jesus and live according to his teachings.

The fictional fantasy character Conan was asked in one of his stories after slaying several men in a brawl if I remember correctly, Conan; is there nothing you fear at all? He slowly shook his head and answered, I fear only the gods and their power. He sums this point up well don't you think?

No, we are not, as a whole. Some are, and some aren't.
Some Muslims are cowards. Some aren't. Same goes for atheists, Buddhists, Jews, etc.
You can't generalize.

Christians may be many things, but I don't think they are cowards.

Though there are always those who will bail when the going gets tough.
