My fience and I are getting married May 10, 2008 and we are looking for a honeymoon destination that is fun, not too pricy, and preferably within the United States. We are pretty laid back and up for anything... it doesn't have to be lavish or "posh" just a nice place to celebrate our marriage. Any suggestions?

We were on a pretty tight budget so we went to the Pocono mountains in PA. We stayed at a Ceasar resort, it was all inclusive. Our room was fabulous. All the rooms had jacuzzis and many had a small privet swimming pool as well. There were tons of activities and every day we had breakfast in bed! (breakfast was included!)
I would highly reccomend it it was so much fun! (We stayed at Cove Haven and had the champagne glass jacuzzi tub!)

I was going to answer with Monterey Bay too. Just a perfect relaxing place. Nice variety of restaurants(prices) and beautiful weather, beaches, and close destinations within driving distance> Like Carmel, Big Sur and Santa Cruz which has a great Board Walk.

We were given a gift of a honeymoon to Honolulu, Hawaii and we loved it! But if you want to stay in the continental US, I would also suggest Bar Harbor, Maine. We looked at going there and had everything planned before getting the gift. It looked absolutely beautiful. Congrats and best wishes!

Depending on the area you live in Colorado is beautiful. Rent a cabin in the mountains and enjoy the area you are in. Shop, hike, white water rafting, horse back riding, sightseeing.

We took a cruise to Alaska and it was wonderful. It was very laid back. If you wanted to spend the whole day doing things you could or spend an entire day relaxing.

How about in Amish Country.You can see all the Amish bail hay,hang out clothes,etc.

if you are a big fan of the ocean, mendicino park, is really beautifull, its over by fort brag. montery bay is nice. myself i would recommend maui, hawaii. me and my wife have been there every year since marriage
