(a) On school property
Most schools have a policy against "public displays of affection." I would check with a teacher/counselor or other staff at the school if you are unsure of the rules there.

As long as you are on school property, you are under the school policies and need to make sure you comply. It is a good idea to get a copy of the handbook, the written policies, so you don't have any surprises later if you violate a rule. You and your parents need to know the disciplinary procedures before a problem happens, not after.

(b) Off school property
Even if you are off school property, people have been known to file complaints if they feel someone's behavior is inappropriate in public. So wherever you are, at a restaurant or someone's home, make sure you know what the expectations are, as a general courtesy to others. Also some cultures are different, and may perceive actions differently. In general, I would make sure the parents of both the boyfriend and girlfriend agree, so they do not do anything behind the parents' backs they would not approve of. That way there is mutual respect and no conflict to mar the relationships.

I think that kissing is kinda young for them. But since each do it then don't stop them. I mean there is no harm. The real thing if you see them sometime wanting more than kissing then you might need to remind them that you guys are only 12.

Um.. maybe not during recess. MOST SCHOOLS have a rule saying you can't kiss or something like that. But I think your friend and your friend's bf should make out somewhere other than school....

Your 12 yr old ... Don't pay attention to that. Just enjoy your childhood. Trust me you'll regret it later. If there kissing its there problem. At 12 I think you girls should focus more on what chap-stick flavor is the best

At twelve, child bye!! At recess you should be playing and not necking. She better be glad she not my child. Don't follow her and she is bad company for you. Stay in a childs place and don't rush your childhood. These days children want to get grown before their time it is not worth it. Tell her and you also to take your time and keep being kids. It will come and when you get to be grown you will won't to be a kid again.

so long as they don't grope each other and or be all over each other ....its fine showing someone you care about them with a little affection is great and it shows that you care about that person ... but full on groping and tonsil hockey is not on and should be kept for when they are behind closed doors and that goes for all ages ...its called good manners

Tell them to save it for when they don't have to subject the rest of the school to their public displays of affection.
