People who immigrate here, whether legally or illegally, and then set about trying to recreate their country of origin makes me wonder: why did they leave in the first place?
I know they want to bring the best elements of their home country with them and incorporate them into America--that is how we came to be as we are in the first place--but these days people are going a little "over the top" with it.
I think perhaps many of the Mexican immigrants are upset not at the United States, but *with the government in Mexico City*. However, they know that complaining there will accomplish nothing--that government has ignored them and allowed horrible situations to get worse for decades.

I think its the familys that they left behind that they are loyal to. From the illegals I have talked to, they send their money to their familys and plan on going back after they have saved enough for to build a home.
They are not loyal to the US at all, they are here for only one reason.

I have had over the years many illegal aliens tell me yes, they are here for the money and when they send enough back home they intend to retire to Mexico. I am not racist, just relating what I have been told by some of the people their-self.

LoL. Some are here to stay and some are here to raise a family and when they retired they would moved back to its country of origin. Lets say you go to work to China and you stay there for 5 years would you be loyal to the U.S.A?

It's like the illegals have one foot still in their country. They claim that it pride of their heritage. They will never go back unless we force them to.
That fine, but you have to have pride in the country where you live. Flying a Mexican flag shows allegiance to Mexico!

I see images of immigrants on the boat in New York harbor circa 1920 crying and holding American flags. Now I see them on the street (and in California) holding Mexican flags and chanting in spanish for equal rights. I don't know what happened.

Yes I totally agree, illegals are not loyal to the country they want to come to. You are very right.

Some do, some don't.
You cannot generalize 10~15 million people and assume they are all thinking or acting the same.
The circumstances of their entry, what they do when they get here, how long they stay, whether they break any other laws -- all of these vary widely among that population..
In fact, the only single common thread that applies to all of them is that they did not fill out the proper immigration paperwork, and therefore did not comply with immigration laws.
Otherwise, it's like trying to make a statement about everyone who has driven without insurance or who has exceeded the speed limit. It's just too diverse a group to be meaningful.
