ok well i have only be asked out twice and sometimes i think that having glasses turnspeople away. i have dirty blonde hair and green eyes with brown around the center. i am easy to get along with.. i am shy at first but when you get to know me then i can be wild and crazy. but i dont like contacts so dont tell me to get them because i dont like them. but idk, do you think having glasses turns people away??

ok well i have had glasses since i was 2. and yes they fit my face right. and no they arent huge ones with a plastic frame. they are a wire frame. and they are small and like kinda rectangular. kinda

But to answer your question. Would I date a girl with glasses? After I got to know her, of course I would. I'm dating someone with glasses right now. Well, she only needs them for driving. But, I have that opinion for all girls. Many guys don't think like me though...
The media is the one telling you that glasses are "so not in."
Be true to yourself. You'll find someone. =)

NO! I used to feel exactly like you. I'm green eyed and blonde and I used to have a major hang up about something on my face!
What you should do if you're insecure about how they look on you is make sure they're made for you. Don't select a pair that looks good on other people or a model in a magazine.
For example, a really good eyeglass boutique should be able to show you ONLY the styles that suit you. The frames should complement your hair color, eye color and skin tone. Also, consider the shape of your face. Some frames that look great on a heart shaped face would look really bad on an oval face.
Make your eye makeup look appealing, so that when people see you, they see you, and not your glasses. (do i sound like a commercial?). Sounds like your confidence is a little shot, and if anyone ever told you that girls in glasses are not appealing, they're sadly mistaken. Glasses do not turn people away, and if they do, screw them! They're actually a very sexy accessory if you wear them with confidence!

Would i date a girl with glasses wow that's a question i had to ask myself many of times. I never had a problem with dating a girl with glasses because they seem to be the hottest kind i think. When a girl wears glasses it shows there sweet side. So what did i mean by there sweet side? Well it shows by turning down wearing contacts to make it easy on them in life they chose to make a statement by letting the world know that they don't have to hide who they are by taking the easy road but are happy and still beautiful no matter what..... So even thought i ask myself that same question that "would i date a girl with glasses" i never let it affect my judgment because i would never want to think if people would date me cause I'm Black... So i will have to say just be yourself and if anyone has a problem maybe there just not the one for you.. So with patience comes rewards...

Hi. I'm alicapalzi. When I first got glasses I was really excited. But then everyone starts blabbing on saying "Glasses make you look intelligent," People with glasses get stereotyped for being geeky and intelligent nerds. Which isn't even what being smart is about. I got really sick of it.(now I wear contacts)So sometimes people do get put off by people wearing glasses,but you can prevent that by letting your wild side out a bit more often. Be more social.

Personality is what really matters - a girl with glasses can be as popular as anyone else. Trust me, at my school, most of the popular boys/girls are not that cute. There are some people that are kind of ugly...but they're really popular and well-liked because they are funny or talented. So, I doubt that glasses would singlehandedly turn people off...unless, if they are huge and round (like, taking up half your face...like Harry Potter glasses), they could be a turn-off for sure.

glasses do sometimes turn guys away, not because your ugly, but it might make you look to smart, and that intimidates alot of guys. you really only have a few choices. you can either continue wearing your glasses and not care what other people think, or you can stop wearing glasses and be partley blind, but attract more guys, or you can wear contact lenses and look much more hot, plus you can buy certain contacts that can change your eye color, and thats cool. either way dont stress, just do what feels right for you

Why yes. I even married a girl with glasses.
I can say from experience that if you're "shy at first," people will assume that you're stand-offish and not particularly interested. If you can cultivate a more outgoing initial impression, I think that will go a long way toward getting more guys.

It's your personality not your glasses. I never heard a such thing before. Maybe try a different style of glasses that you normally wear if that will build your confidence.
