I have a cat who likes to try what I am eating. When she hears the rustle of the potato chip bag she comes running for a few crumbled pieces of potato chip. Maybe it's the salt.

Definately the salt. If you don't watch your food, my cat will eat the following:
Dorritos
Strawberry Yogurt
Anything dairy
Beef Jerkey
Popcorn
Pizza
Peanut Butter
Strawberry Jam
Dog Food
Fish Food
Apples
Applesauce
Corn
Broccoli
Actually, my cat will eat anything. So forget the list, lol. A better question for Gemini would be: "What won't he eat?"
We do not let him/give him any people food... he will tear open bags, break into cupboards, open the dang fridge. Everything in the house is child locked now. When we eat, we lock him in the bedroom. NOW he's taken to eating bugs and anything else he can find. Gross. It'snot like we don't feed him, either. He gets 1/2 can wet in the morning and again at night. He also gets one cup of dry during the day. He is 28 lbs. FAT cat!!!!

Yes my cat has a few weird things he will eat. Off the top of my head here are his favorite treats.
1. Goldfish crackers (cheddar)
2. Banana chips
3. Dry roasted peanuts
4. Peanut butter
5. Tuna out of a can
6. Chicken out of a can
7. Cheerios
8. Deli ham/turkey

I used to have a cat that liked avocados and peanut butter. And years ago, when I was too busy to cook, I would get alot of carry-out.My cats liked pizza, chinese lomein, burgers. Guess they figured "hey I"m part of the family-what's for dinner?" Wouldn't you get tired of eating the same kind of stuff out of cans? I also had acat that would go after a loaf of bread in the middle of the night!

My cat eats potato chips. He just walks up to me and eats it from my hand. He thinks he's human, and he feels he has the right to eat anything from my plate.

i have one cat that likes cooked carrots, olives, chips, candies, rice, spaghetti, and dog treats. another cat also likes olives, orange bits, bananas, cherries, potatoes, hot dogs but not ham and licks my skin all the time. salt?
i think cats like to try different things as much as i do. only not as much. lol. they also come on the run when they hear me opening something up.

My female loves bread, lunch meat, potato chips, olives, ramen noodles. I usually give her a tiny bit (which is wrong, but I can't help it.) My male will only eat shredded cheese when I offer it to him. If I offer him anything else, he shakes his front paw like he stepped in something that he doesn't like, and walks away.

My cat Roxie LOVES spaghetti! I swear, he smells the spaghetti sauce and comes running! He likes the noodles and the sauce though, not the meatballs! He also ate some of the insides of my halloween pumpking last year. Silly kitty :)

My cat Smudge loves Green Machine drinks, bagels, lunch meat, dried plums, cooked cabbage, and he's even tried hummus (no garlic).
