Thoughts on Air National Guard?

Anybody have any thoughts on the Air National Guard, their duties, jobs, deployment time, combat involvment, etc

They are superb! Even though I'm a Navy retiree I have the greatest respect for them. Especially in this time of war when they are covering most of the air patrol missions in our skies due to Operation Noble Eagle.

my dad is in the air national guard....i think it would be a good oppurtunity but like my dad he doesnt have a lot time to be with us!good luck
