where did you get that idea from? God is not like a man or like any other creation. If He had been like them He would have needed a creator like they do.

You've got it all backwards. Man was created in God's image. The Hebrew word translated as "image" in Genesis 1 is the same word used for an idol. In other words, humans are supposed to be tiny representatives of God on this planet. So God isn't like a man. Mankind was created to be like God.
