Carnival and Royal Caribbean usually have great rates, especially if you book ahead (their websites have the cheapest deals you'll find for those lines... all those other cruise booking sites can't offer you anything cheaper on those lines).

Hmm, can't remember what the age limit is - you'll have to check the website. Yes, you probably need a passport, since most cruises stop at a foreign country, and they can't risk that you might sneak off the boat. Passports are about $60-75, you should go ahead and get one anyway.

Yes it is best to take a cruise out of Florida. Personally I think Miami/Ft Lauderdale had cheaper rates. Though currently you can get great rates our of NO as they try to raise tourism.

Carnival and Royal Caribbean has the cheapest rates. Both great cruiselines and marketed to the masses--therefore cheaper rates.

Most importantly is the fact that you are 19. Which means of course you can go if you have a roommate who is 25 or your parents go with you. If you are looking to go by yourself, only if you are married.

You don't need a passport yet but you can check out the website. However you will need a passport soon. And you do if you wanted to fly home or had an emergency come up.

At this point in time you do not need a passport but you will need one in January. You can not board a cruise ship (or buy tickets) if you are under 21. If you are under 21 you need someone 21 to room with you (25 on Carnival unless you are married) So it look like you might be out of luck. Some smaller lines do not have the same age restrictions but they will be more expensive and don't depart from US ports. (Except the ones that cruise the US rivers} Sorry

you will need a passport when going to the caribbean, you will need it for check in, and overall a good idea to have when leaving the country.

I like in Ny to, and i usually leave from miami florida. Ive always loved royal caribbean cruises, but most cruise lines will take you around the caribbean.

just check out royal caribbean. your still young so you will have lot of things to do on a RC ship.

You don't need a passport untill 2008, but you do have to be at least 21 to travel on a cruise without and adult (who you are related to)

You do not need a passport to take a cruise. As far as value goes I think NCL offers very nice prices. We took our anniversary cruise on NCL and really enjoyed ourselves. It turned out to be a baseball cruise and some of our favorite players were there cruising with us.
I hope you get the chance to do it....it's a trip you'll never forget.

You will definitely need a passport, you can apply for one at your local post office http://www.usps.com. depending on your travel dates you may want to expedite your passport application. you can check for cruise rates on this site http://www.LouMarTravel.com, I've seen great rates on the site. You can also get a passport in 24 hours on this website under the extras tab.

It depends on where you are going in the Caribbean. I know the Bahamas only requires US citizens to have a birth certificate, but some of the other countries require more.

Here are some great websites to help you pick a great, affordable cruise:
