I have looked everywhere and can not find very muchon the artist Maria Martinetti. I have seen a few of her paintings and I happen to have one. But I would like to have it insured, the only one that i could find a price on was sold 2 years ago for 13,000. Any Ideas?

Hi! This is what I have found.

Translated from E. Benezit: "Genre painter from Rome born July 22, 1864, Italian School. Exhibited in Rome, Venice and Paris where she obtained a Silver Medal in 1889."

By the 1890s Martinetti had moved to northern California. She died in Marin County, CA on Aug. 16, 1921. Exhibited: Mechanics' Institute (San Francisco), 1895.

Here are four recent auction results from Bonham's which should give you a frame of reference as to fair market value as a basis for replacement/insurance purposes. I wish you good luck!
