Frying fish sometimes get into the fabrics of an house or apt. -e.g.- couch, winter coats, curtains etc.

I've heard that when cooking fish you should (separately) boil nutmeg in water to diffuse the smell. Bon appetit!

Ooh, I like the sound of that! Can I have some? I love perch! I wouldn't mind cooking some myself. No, I don't know what you can do to keep the fish smell out of your fabrics. I don't do anything.

deep fry out side. or open windows and take down curtains if possible

Get a portable camp stove and cook it outside. Works for me.
